ABOUT US

At Peak Christian Academy, we partner with parents to offer a strong academic and biblical foundation in language arts, science, history, and math. We believe that by working together, we can create a learning environment that is both challenging and supportive, and that prepares students for success in college and beyond.

The ABC's of Peak Christian Academy

Academics - Bible - Character

The Bible

Peak Christian Academy teaches a Biblical worldview by using age-appropriate language, stories, and examples. This is essential for helping our students understand their faith and navigate the world.

Here at Peak Christian Academy, we believe and teach:

1. God as Creator and Sustainer - God created everything, the universe, animals, plants, and people. He sustains and cares for all His creation.
2. The Bible is God’s Word – The Bible is a special book that contains God’s message to us.
3. God’s Love and Jesus – God’s love for us is proven by sending his Son Jesus to Earth to save us. Jesus’s life, His miracles, and His sacrifice on the cross.
4. Morality and Righteous Living – Right and wrong based on Biblical principles. Teach virtues like kindness, honesty, and forgiveness.
5. Redemption and Forgiveness – Help children understand sin and its consequences.
6. Prayer and Relationship with God – God desires a personal relationship with each person and praying is a way to talk with Him.
7. Creation Care and Stewardship – Teach children to appreciate and care for the environment, that God entrusted us with.

Academics

Peak Christian Academy uses “living books” (Charlotte Mason Method) instead of just a textbook/workbook environment. Every child is different, every child learns differently, and every child has a different perception of a subject.

At PCA we focus on Bible, Language Arts, Math, Science, and History by following a structured course that provides engaging subject material yet having the flexibility to accommodate discussions and spontaneous learning opportunities to develop critical thinking skills.

Our teachers have the freedom to choose supplemental curriculums that best fit the needs of each individual student. We work with parents to recognize any setbacks that need to be addressed and
mastered while striving to work with each child to achieve their academic pursuits.

If needed, PCA offers a Reading Specialist if the setbacks are too large to be addressed during regular class.

For Additional Information on Academics please refer to our FAQ’s page.

Character

At Peak Christian Academy we strive for honesty, integrity, and ethical behavior as a core of an individual’s character.

Do unto others as you would have done to you.

Simple isn’t it, there are so many components of a good character.

At PCA we focus on:
Love: Love of self and others, not just loving those who love them, but through unconditional love to all, as described in (Corinthians 13:4-7)

Kindness and Gentleness: Showing compassion, generosity, and kindness to others not just the people around you daily but those in need, reflects Jesus and his teachings. (Colossians 3:12)

Humility and Forbearance: Being humble not only before God but in all interactions with others (Philippians 2:3) Forgive others as God has forgiven you (Ephesians 4:32)

Patience and Faithfulness: When burdened with trials and tribulations it is your patience and perseverance that will lead you through in a way that is pleasing to Jesus. (James 1:2-4)

Integrity and Goodness: Living a life of integrity and honesty is to be truthful in your words and actions (Proverbs 12:22)

Self-Control: Self-control of speech, actions and living in a way that honors God. (Galatians 5:23)

Joy and Peace: We seek to maintain joy and peace within our hearts, trusting in God’s plan and goodness. (Philippians 4:4-7)

Servanthood: We are to follow the example set by Jesus to serve others, to lift others and to pray for others. (Mark 10:45)
